# Bandcamp Artist API Documentation

Retrieve a public Bandcamp artist or label profile by URL: name, location, currency, bio and discography. The url parameter must be a bandcamp.com artist page. Other hosts return a 422 validation error.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | The url parameter is missing, invalid or not a bandcamp.com URL. No upstream request is made. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Artist Not Found | The requested Bandcamp artist was not found. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | Bandcamp is temporarily unavailable. This response is not billable. |
