# Bring a Trailer Auction Search API Documentation

Search Bring a Trailer auctions, live and completed results. Filter by auction status, sale status, make or model term, category, era, origin, location country, year range, bid range, auction type, range and free text, with sorting and page pagination. Results carry the current bid in USD, the bid count, the reserve state, the sale state (sold or bid to), the end time as ISO 8601 UTC, the location, the postal code, the seller type and the thumbnail. Page with page and per_page (1 to 32) and read has_more from the live total page count.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `sale_status` | string | No | sold or unsold (reserve not met). Past auctions only. |
| `sort` | string | No | ta (ending soonest), td (recently closed), ba (bid low to high), bd (bid high to low) or vd (popular). |
| `page` | integer | No | 1-based result page. |
| `per_page` | integer | No | Listings per page, 1 to 32. |
| `make_or_model` | string | No | Comma-separated term IDs from the filters endpoint, e.g. 1832980 for Ferrari. |
| `category` | string | No | Comma-separated category term IDs, e.g. 434 for Convertibles. |
| `era` | string | No | Era slug from the filters endpoint, e.g. pre-1900 or 2010s. |
| `origin` | string | No | Comma-separated origin term IDs, e.g. 8 for Italian. |
| `location_country` | string | No | Comma-separated location term IDs, e.g. 89009061 for United States. |
| `minimum_year` | integer | No | Minimum model year. |
| `maximum_year` | integer | No | Maximum model year. |
| `minimum_bid` | integer | No | Minimum current bid in USD. |
| `maximum_bid` | integer | No | Maximum current bid in USD. |
| `auction_type` | string | No | premium, no-reserve or alumni. |
| `range` | string | No | 7D, 30D, 1Y, 2Y or 5Y. |
| `zip_code` | string | No | Zip code for location filtering. Requires user_lat and user_lon. |
