# Taxonomy API Documentation

Retrieve the make and model reference lists with live counts. Pass a make filter to get its models.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `filters.makes` | array | Yes | Array of make objects with name. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |

| 400 | The source site rejected the request filters |  |
| 422 | The source site could not accept the requested filters |  |
| 503 | The vehicle listings source is temporarily unavailable |  |
