# CarDekho Cities API Documentation

Search CarDekho cities and pincode areas by name. Each result has the city id, a city slug for the search endpoint, state, pincode and coordinates for the used-cars/dealers endpoint.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `q` | string | Yes | City, area or pincode text, at least 2 characters. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A public parameter or range is invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Not Found | CarDekho has no listing, price or result for the request. This response is not billable. |
| 422 | Unknown Filter | CarDekho did not recognise the city, make, fuel, transmission, body type, owner or seats value. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Unexpected Upstream Response | CarDekho returned an unrecognized response shape. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly. |
