# CarDekho Used Car Search API Documentation

Search used cars on CarDekho India by city, make, model, price, year, kilometres, fuel, transmission, body type, owner and seats, with sort and pages. Every listing keeps all card fields: price against market price, kilometres, owner count, seller, images, EMI, trust tags and flags. The response carries the true total, the filter facets with counts and the sort list. CarDekho exposes one sliding window of cars, so pages overlap: window_overlap is true and clients should de-duplicate on used_car_sku_id.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `city` | string | No | City slug such as new-delhi, mumbai or bangalore. Empty means all of India. |
| `make` | string | No | Make slug from the used-cars/filters brand group, for example maruti or hyundai. |
| `model` | string | No | Model slug such as swift or maruti-swift. Needs make. |
| `price_min` | integer | No | Minimum price in rupees. |
| `price_max` | integer | No | Maximum price in rupees. Must be at least price_min. |
| `year_min` | integer | No | Earliest registration year. |
| `year_max` | integer | No | Latest registration year. |
| `km_max` | integer | No | Maximum kilometres driven. |
| `fuel` | string | No | Fuel slug from the filters, for example petrol, diesel or cng. Several values can be comma-separated. |
| `transmission` | string | No | manual or automatic. |
| `body_type` | string | No | Body type slug such as suv, sedan or hatchback. |
| `owner` | string | No | Owner slug such as first-owner or second-owner. |
| `seats` | string | No | Seat slug such as 5-seater or 7-seater. |
| `sort` | string | No | Sort value from the sorting list: price, kms_run, created_date, registration_year or distance. |
| `sort_direction` | string | No | asc or desc. Defaults to asc when sort is set. |
| `page` | integer | No | Result window, starting at 1. Pages overlap; de-duplicate on used_car_sku_id. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A public parameter or range is invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Not Found | CarDekho has no listing, price or result for the request. This response is not billable. |
| 422 | Unknown Filter | CarDekho did not recognise the city, make, fuel, transmission, body type, owner or seats value. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Unexpected Upstream Response | CarDekho returned an unrecognized response shape. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly. |
