# CarGurus Models API Documentation

Return the models CarGurus publishes for one make, split into popular and other models. Each model carries its CarGurus id and the make/model filter paths that the search endpoint accepts.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `make_id` | string | Yes | CarGurus make id from the makes endpoint, for example m4. |
| `locale` | string | No | Market locale, for example en_US. Defaults to en_US. |
| `country_code` | string | No | CarGurus country code. Defaults to UNITED_STATES. |
| `origin` | string | No | CarGurus request origin. Defaults to UNKNOWN. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A public parameter or range is invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Unexpected Upstream Response | CarGurus returned an unrecognized response shape. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly. |
