# Carwow Used Car Search API Documentation

Search used cars listed on Carwow UK: for each car the listing id, public url, title, variant, price in GBP, location, year, mileage in miles, fuel, transmission, engine size, Carwow deal score, image and whether the card is a sponsored ad. Carwow returns 8 cars per page; page up to 100. When a brand or model has few cars, Carwow may add similar cars to the page, so check the title. A valid empty result is a successful response.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `brand` | string | No | Brand slug, lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. Example: bmw. |
| `model` | string | No | Model slug. Needs a brand. Example: 4-series. |
| `fuel` | string | No | One or more of petrol, diesel, hybrid, electric, separated by commas. Example: diesel,hybrid. |
| `transmission` | string | No | automatic or manual. |
| `page` | integer | No | Page number, 1 to 100. Defaults to 1. Each page holds up to 8 cars. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A query parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Invalid Source Response | The upstream answered with a page that no longer matches the documented contract. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly. |
