# Email Search API Documentation

Searches the web once for addresses on one email domain and returns the ones that appear in result titles and snippets, each with its source URL. Only published addresses are returned. Nothing is guessed and no mailbox is tested. Yield is low: a result page holds few addresses, often none. Use page 1 to 10 to read deeper result pages. Cost: 1 credit per request. A search that returns no page is free.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `email_domain` | string | Yes | Domain of the addresses, for example example.com. |
| `query` | string | No | Optional extra words, for example sales or a person name. |
| `limit` | integer | No | Most emails to return, 1 to 100. Defaults to 50. |
| `page` | integer | No | Search result page, 1 to 10. Defaults to 1. Page 2 reads the next 10 results. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | Returned when a required parameter is missing or a value is out of range. No credits are charged. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | Returned when no page could be fetched or the search returned no results. Failed requests are not charged. Try again. |
