# Copart Lot Detail API Documentation

<p><strong>Copart Lot Detail API Documentation</strong> Retrieve one public Copart lot by lot number: vehicle data, masked VIN, primary and secondary damage, title, condition, odometer with unit and status, engine, drive, key status, current bid and bid status, estimated retail value, auction date (ISO 8601, UTC), yard and location, seller, highlights, features, thumbnail and the public lot url. The VIN is masked by Copart for logged-out visitors. An unknown lot is a non-billable 404.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Errors

| 422 | Validation Error | A query parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Lot Not Found | The lot does not exist or has left the site. This response is not billable. |
| 502 | Invalid Source Response | Copart answered with an unexpected response. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly. |
