# Costco Reviews API Documentation

<p><strong>Costco Reviews API</strong> returns the customer reviews of a product with rating, title, text, author, location, date, helpful votes, recommendation, photos and store responses. Every answer includes the rating summary.</p><p>Use <code>rating</code> for exact stars or <code>max_rating</code> for at most that many stars. Set <code>country=ca</code> for costco.ca products: their reviews are in English and French. For the US the feed mixes US and Canadian reviews: set <code>locale</code> to pick one language. <code>verified_purchase</code> is true when Costco marks the reviewer as a verified purchaser. Reviews that break a filter are never returned. Costs 1 credit per successful request.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `country` | string | No | us (default) or ca. Use ca for product ids from costco.ca. |
| `page` | integer | No | One-based page number, 1 to 500 (default 1). |
| `per_page` | integer | No | Reviews per page, 1 to 100 (default 20). |
| `sort` | string | No | relevancy (default), newest, oldest, rating_desc, rating_asc or helpful. |
| `rating` | integer | No | Only reviews with exactly this many stars, 1 to 5. |
| `max_rating` | integer | No | Only reviews with at most this many stars, 1 to 5. Not together with rating. |
| `locale` | string | No | en_US, en_CA or fr_CA (default: all locales enabled for the selected Costco feed). |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A required parameter or a value is invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | Costco could not be reached after several tries. This response is not billable. Retry shortly. |
