# Crexi Auction API Documentation

Returns the auction terms of a sale listing that is, or was, an auction: status and type, marketing, start and end times, starting bid, minimum bid, bid increment, whether the reserve is met, the buyer transaction fee as a percentage with its minimum, the licensed auctioneer and the registered bidder count when above zero. An asset that is not an auction, or is inactive, answers a 404 with error.code NOT_FOUND, which is not billable.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 404 | Not Found | No active Crexi record exists for the id (unknown, inactive, or not an auction for the auction endpoint). Not billable. |
| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is invalid, including a page window beyond what Crexi serves or a filter combination Crexi rejects. Not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | The service could not obtain a complete result from Crexi. Not billable. |
