# Crexi Lease Search API Documentation

Search space for lease across the United States. Filter by location (a state code, a "City, ST" pair or a 5-digit zip code), property type and a rate range in USD per square foot per year; the rate range matches listings whose rate range overlaps it. Sort by rank, activation date, update date, building size or rate. Each result carries the lowest and highest annual rate per square foot, the rentable size range, lease types, vacant units, brokers and the first photo. A query with no matches returns an empty results array and is a successful, billable response.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `location` | string | No | A 2-letter state code (TX), a "City, ST" pair (Houston, TX) or a 5-digit zip code (60060). |
| `property_type` | string | No | Comma list of: Retail, Multifamily, Office, Industrial, Hospitality, Mixed Use, Land, Self Storage, Mobile Home Park, RV Park, Senior Living, Special Purpose, Residential, General Commercial. |
| `min_rate` | number | No | Minimum rate in USD per square foot per year. |
| `max_rate` | number | No | Maximum rate in USD per square foot per year. |
| `sort` | string | No | rank, date_activated, date_updated, building_sqft or rate. Defaults to rank. |
| `order` | string | No | asc or desc. Defaults to desc. |
| `page` | integer | No | 1-based page number. page * per_page may not exceed 9999. |
| `per_page` | integer | No | Results per page, 1 to 50. Defaults to 25. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 404 | Not Found | No active Crexi record exists for the id (unknown, inactive, or not an auction for the auction endpoint). Not billable. |
| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is invalid, including a page window beyond what Crexi serves or a filter combination Crexi rejects. Not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | The service could not obtain a complete result from Crexi. Not billable. |
