# Crexi Search API Documentation

Search Crexi listings for sale across the United States. Filter by state, property type, trading status (use Auction for live auctions), price, cap rate and an optional map bounding box (all four bounds or none). Sort by rank, price, activation date, update date or time remaining. Paginate with page and per_page; Crexi serves at most the first 1499 results of a query, so narrow the filters instead of paging deeper. total can drift by one between calls, so stop on an empty results array. A query with no matches returns an empty results array and is a successful, billable response.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `state` | string | No | Comma list of 2-letter US state codes, for example TX or TX,FL. |
| `property_type` | string | No | Comma list of: Retail, Multifamily, Office, Industrial, Hospitality, Mixed Use, Land, Self Storage, Mobile Home Park, RV Park, Senior Living, Special Purpose, Residential, General Commercial. |
| `trading_status` | string | No | Comma list of: On-Market, Auction, Call For Offers, Highest & Best. |
| `min_price` | number | No | Minimum asking price in USD. |
| `max_price` | number | No | Maximum asking price in USD. |
| `min_cap_rate` | number | No | Minimum cap rate in percent. |
| `min_latitude` | number | No | Bounding box south edge. Send all four bounds or none. |
| `max_latitude` | number | No | Bounding box north edge. |
| `min_longitude` | number | No | Bounding box west edge. |
| `max_longitude` | number | No | Bounding box east edge. |
| `include_unpriced` | boolean | No | Include listings without an asking price. Defaults to true. |
| `sort` | string | No | rank, price, activated_on, updated_on or time_remaining. Defaults to rank. |
| `order` | string | No | asc or desc. Defaults to desc, or asc for time_remaining. |
| `page` | integer | No | 1-based page number. Defaults to 1. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 404 | Not Found | No active Crexi record exists for the id (unknown, inactive, or not an auction for the auction endpoint). Not billable. |
| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is invalid, including a page window beyond what Crexi serves or a filter combination Crexi rejects. Not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | The service could not obtain a complete result from Crexi. Not billable. |
