# Edmunds Inventory Search API Documentation

Search the Edmunds car inventory by make, model and ZIP code. Each listing has the VIN, price, MSRP, mileage, year, trim, style id, colors, photo, dealer name and location, publish date (ISO 8601, UTC) and the public Edmunds page url. Page with page and per_page; the response has total and total_pages. A valid search with zero matches is a successful empty list.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `make` | string | Yes | Car make, e.g. Toyota. Example: Toyota. |
| `model` | string | Yes | Car model, e.g. Camry. Example: Camry. |
| `zip` | string | Yes | 5-digit US ZIP code to search around. Example: 90210. |
| `type` | string | No | Listing type: used, new or cpo (certified pre-owned). Defaults to used. |
| `radius` | integer | No | Search radius in miles, 1 to 500. |
| `page` | integer | No | Page number, starting at 1. Defaults to 1. |
| `per_page` | integer | No | Listings per page, 1 to 40. Defaults to 20. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A required query parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Resource Not Found | The requested Edmunds resource does not exist. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Invalid Source Response | The upstream answered with a shape that no longer matches the documented contract. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly. |
