# Facebook Ad Library Advertisers

Look up advertiser pages whose ads appear in the ad transparency library, by name fragment. Returns the numeric page id for each match along with the page name, profile link, categories and linked Instagram handle. Use the returned page_id with the search endpoint to retrieve that advertiser's ads. This lookup is a separate request with its own credit; the search endpoint does not resolve page ids for you.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `query` | string | Yes | Name or name fragment of the advertiser to look up. |
| `country` | string | No | Two-letter ISO country code to search within. |
| `ad_type` | string | No | Ad category to match against: ALL, POLITICAL_AND_ISSUE_ADS, CREDIT_ADS, FINANCIAL_PRODUCTS_AND_SERVICES_ADS, EMPLOYMENT_ADS, HOUSING_ADS or UNCATEGORIZED_ADS. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 503 | Ad library temporarily unavailable | The public ad library could not be reached. The request is not billed. |
| 422 | Unsupported filter value | One of the filter values is outside the published set. No upstream request is made and no credits are charged. |
