# Flickr Photo Search API Documentation

Search public Flickr photos by free text with pagination. Each result carries the photo id, owner, title, description, tags (list of strings), view count, dates (ISO 8601, UTC), license (id and name), media type, the photopage URL and a thumbnail image URL. Sorting, tag, user, group, license, safe-search and content-type filters are supported. A valid empty result (no matches) is a successful response.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `text` | string | Yes | Free-text search query. Example: mountain sunrise. |
| `page` | integer | No | 1-based page number. Defaults to 1. |
| `per_page` | integer | No | Results per page (1-500). Defaults to 10. |
| `sort` | string | No | relevance, date-posted-desc or interestingness-desc. |
| `tags` | string | No | Comma-separated tag filter. |
| `user_id` | string | No | Limit results to one Flickr NSID (e.g. 135660584@N08). |
| `group_id` | string | No | Limit results to one Flickr group NSID. |
| `license` | string | No | License filter (0-9). |
| `safe_search` | integer | No | 1 = safe, 2 = moderate, 3 = restricted. |
| `content_type` | integer | No | 1 = photos, 2 = screenshots, 3 = other, 7 = all. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A public parameter or range is invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | The Flickr API returned a failure (stat:fail) or was unreachable. This response is not billable. |
