# G2 Compare API Documentation

<p><strong>G2 Compare API</strong> compares two products. Each product returns its rating, review count, categories, entry pricing (<code>pricing</code>), review-based insights (<code>time_to_implement</code>, <code>return_on_investment</code>, <code>average_discount</code>), the pros and cons with mention counts, and the <code>sub_ratings</code>: <code>meets_requirements</code>, <code>ease_of_use</code>, <code>ease_of_setup</code>, <code>ease_of_admin</code>, <code>quality_of_support</code>, <code>good_partner</code> and <code>product_direction</code>. Each sub-rating has a <code>score</code> from 0 to 10 and the number of <code>votes</code>. A sub-rating G2 does not show for a pair is <code>null</code>.</p><p><code>choose_if</code> lists the reasons G2 gives for choosing each product. The products come back in the order of <code>a</code> and <code>b</code>. G2 does not offer every pair: for such a pair the request fails with 503, is not billed and can be retried with another pair. One request makes one lookup and costs one credit.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 404 | Not Found | The comparison is not available. This response is not billable. |
| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is missing or has an invalid value. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | G2 could not be reached or returned data that does not match the request. This response is not billable and is retryable. |
