# G2 Grid API Documentation

<p><strong>G2 Grid API</strong> returns the G2 grid of one category: every ranked product with its <code>review_count</code>, <code>rating</code> (half-star steps), <code>market_presence</code> and <code>satisfaction</code> (both 0 to 100, position on the grid) and the <code>quadrant</code>: <code>leaders</code>, <code>high_performers</code>, <code>contenders</code> or <code>niche</code>. The quadrant is derived from the position with the midpoint 50 on both axes.</p><p>Set <code>company_size</code> to <code>small_business</code> or <code>enterprise</code> for the grid of one segment. Without it you get the grid of all segments. Find category slugs with the category tree endpoint. An unknown category slug returns 404 and is not billed. One request costs one credit.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 404 | Not Found | The category slug does not exist on G2. This response is not billable. |
| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is missing or has an invalid value. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | G2 could not be reached or returned data that does not match the request. This response is not billable and is retryable. |
