# G2 Seller API Documentation

<p><strong>G2 Seller API</strong> returns the profile of a vendor: <code>name</code>, average <code>rating</code>, <code>review_total</code> over all its products, <code>profile_count</code>, <code>category_count</code>, <code>grid_leader_categories</code>, <code>serving_since</code>, the star <code>distribution</code> (percent and review count), the <code>categories</code>, the <code>products</code> with review counts and descriptions, and an <code>about</code> block with company details.</p><p>Use the vendor slug. It often differs from the product slug (the vendor of the product <em>jira</em> is <em>atlassian</em>). The <code>vendor.slug</code> field of an alternatives result gives the vendor slug. An unknown vendor slug returns 404 and is not billed. One request costs one credit.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 404 | Not Found | The vendor slug does not exist on G2. This response is not billable. |
| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is missing or has an invalid value. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | G2 could not be reached or returned data that does not match the request. This response is not billable and is retryable. |
