# Google News Article URL Decoder API

<p>Turns a Google News article link into the real publisher URL. One article per request. Send article_id or the link of any feed item as url. The response has publisher_url. Costs 1 credit. Failed requests cost nothing.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `article_id` | string | No | Google News article id: the guid or article_id field of a news item. Send this or url. |
| `url` | string | No | Google News article link, e.g. the link field of any item from headlines, topic, search, publication, stories or story. Send this or article_id. |
| `hl` | string | No | Language of the feed, 2 letters, e.g. en, de, fr. Default: en. |
| `gl` | string | No | Country of the feed, 2 letters, e.g. us, de, gb. Default: us. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Not Found | The article is gone or cannot be decoded. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | Google News could not be reached or gave an unreadable answer. This response is not billable. Retry later. |
