# Google News Local Headlines API

<p>Local headlines of Google News for one city, often 70 or more stories. Each item has position, title (publisher name removed), link, source (name and url), date (ISO 8601), guid and related_articles (the other articles of the same story). Costs 1 credit. An unknown city returns 404 and costs nothing.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `city` | string | Yes | City name, e.g. Berlin or Chicago. |
| `hl` | string | No | Language of the feed, 2 letters, e.g. en, de, fr. Default: en. |
| `gl` | string | No | Country of the feed, 2 letters, e.g. us, de, gb. Default: us. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |

| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Not Found | The city is unknown to Google News. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | Google News could not be reached or gave an unreadable answer. This response is not billable. Retry later. |
