# Google News Time Range Search API

<p>Search Google News for a term inside a time window: the last hour, day, week or year, or between two dates. Up to 100 items, no second page. Items outside the window are removed. Each item has position, title (publisher name removed), link, source (name and url), date (ISO 8601), guid and related_articles (the other articles of the same story). Costs 1 credit. A search with no result returns 200 with an empty list and costs nothing.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `q` | string | Yes | Search term. Do not write when:, after: or before: inside it. |
| `when` | string | No | Time window: 1h, 1d, 7d or 1y. |
| `after` | string | No | Only news on or after this date (YYYY-MM-DD, UTC). |
| `before` | string | No | Only news before this date (YYYY-MM-DD, UTC). |
| `hl` | string | No | Language of the feed, 2 letters, e.g. en, de, fr. Default: en. |
| `gl` | string | No | Country of the feed, 2 letters, e.g. us, de, gb. Default: us. |

| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | Google News could not be reached or gave an unreadable answer. This response is not billable. Retry later. |
