# Google News Story Discovery API

<p>Story clusters of a Google News topic, about 48 per request. Each story has a story_token for /api/google/news/story, the lead article and the other articles with source, ISO date, author and thumbnail. Costs 1 credit. Failed requests and empty lists cost nothing.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `topic` | string | No | WORLD, NATION, BUSINESS, TECHNOLOGY, ENTERTAINMENT, SPORTS, SCIENCE or HEALTH. Default: WORLD. Send this or topic_token. |
| `topic_token` | string | No | Google News topic token, e.g. the topic_token of /api/google/news/topic. Send this or topic. |
| `hl` | string | No | Language of the page, 2 letters, e.g. en, de, fr. Default: en. |
| `gl` | string | No | Country of the page, 2 letters, e.g. us, de, gb. Default: us. |

## Errors

| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Not Found | The topic token does not exist for this language and country. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | Google News could not be reached or gave an unreadable answer. This response is not billable. Retry later. |
