# Google Scholar Author Profile

Returns a Google Scholar author profile: name, affiliations, verified email domain, website, interests and thumbnail, the cited-by metrics table (citations, h-index and i10-index, all and recent), the annual citation graph, public-access counts when the author page shows them, the co-author preview on the profile page, and the article list. Articles support offset pagination via start and num, and title or publication-date sorting via sort.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `user` | string | Yes | Google Scholar author ID, e.g. the LSsXyncAAAAJ in /citations?user=LSsXyncAAAAJ. |
| `hl` | string | No | Two-letter interface language, optionally with a region. Defaults to en. |
| `start` | integer | No | Zero-based article offset from 0 to 990. Defaults to 0. |
| `num` | integer | No | Articles per request from 1 to 100. Defaults to 20. |
| `sort` | string | No | Order articles by title or by publication date (pubdate). Defaults to Scholar relevance order. |

## Errors

| 422 | Author Not Found | Google Scholar does not know this author ID. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Unexpected Source Response | Scholar markup could not be normalized safely. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Scholar Unavailable | The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly. |
