# Google Scholar Cite Formats

Returns the citation styles of one Google Scholar result (MLA, APA, Chicago, Harvard, Vancouver in the order Scholar lists them) plus the BibTeX, EndNote, RefMan and RefWorks export links. Export links are returned as-is and are short-lived, so fetch them again when they expire.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `q` | string | Yes | Bare Google Scholar result ID, e.g. the FDc6HiktlqEJ in /scholar?q=info:FDc6HiktlqEJ:scholar.google.com/. |
| `hl` | string | No | Two-letter interface language, optionally with a region. Defaults to en. |

## Errors

| 422 | Validation Error | One or more cite parameters are invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 422 | Cite Not Found | Google Scholar does not know this result ID. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Unexpected Source Response | Scholar markup could not be normalized safely. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Scholar Unavailable | The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly. |
