# Google Trends Interest by Region

Retrieve interest by region for a keyword: the relative search interest per region on a 0-100 scale, like the Google Trends "Interest by region" map. Compare up to 5 keywords in one request by separating them with commas (e.g. "coffee,tea"); every compared keyword shares one 0-100 scale per region, so the values are directly comparable. Use region=COUNTRY with an empty geo for the worldwide country list.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `q` | string | Yes | The search keyword to analyze (e.g., "coffee"). To compare keywords, pass up to 5 terms separated by commas (e.g., "coffee,tea"). Each term can be up to 100 characters. |
| `geo` | string | No | Geographic location code (e.g., "US", "DE", "GB"). Leave empty for the worldwide list (250 countries). |
| `region` | string | No | REGION (default) returns sub-national regions for the geo (e.g., 51 states for US). COUNTRY returns the worldwide country list and requires an empty geo. |
| `date` | string | No | Time period: a relative token (today 12-m, today 3-m, today 1-m, now 1-d, now 7-d, now 4-h) or an absolute range (YYYY-MM-DD YYYY-MM-DD). |
| `cat` | integer | No | Google Trends category id (0 for all categories) |
| `gprop` | string | No | Search property: images, news, youtube or froogle (empty for web search) |
| `tz` | integer | No | Timezone offset in minutes |
| `hl` | string | No | Language code for results (e.g., en, en-US, de-DE) |
