# idealo Autocomplete API Documentation

Suggest search terms for a text start. Each suggestion names its kind (term, category or brand) and carries the category ID, the facet ID or the brand ID it points to. Use the IDs with search, brand_products and deals.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `query` | string | Yes | Text start. Alias: q. |
| `limit` | integer | No | Number of suggestions, 1 to 10. Defaults to 10. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | Returned when a required parameter is missing or a value is out of range. No credits are charged. |
| 404 | Not Found | Returned when idealo does not know the product, shop or page. No credits are charged. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | Returned when idealo could not be read after several attempts. Failed requests are not charged. Try again. |
| 502 | Unexpected Response | Returned when idealo answers with a page this API cannot read. Failed requests are not charged. |
