# Indeed Autocomplete API Documentation

<p><strong>Indeed Autocomplete API</strong> returns suggestions for a text. Choose the type: job <code>title</code>, <code>location</code>, <code>company</code> or <code>skill</code>. Title, location and skill suggestions have a <code>text</code> field.</p><p>Company suggestions also carry <code>employer_key</code>, <code>slug</code>, <code>logo</code> and <code>score</code>. Use <code>slug</code> as <code>company</code> for reviews and salaries. Use <code>employer_key</code> or <code>slug</code> for profile and jobs.</p><p>Costs 1 credit per successful request. Failed and empty requests are free. Scrappa is not affiliated with or endorsed by Indeed.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `q` | string | Yes | Text to complete, 1 to 100 characters, for example amazon. |
| `country` | string | Yes | Required. US, GB (UK works as an alias) or DE. Any other value returns 422. |
| `type` | string | No | title (default), location, company or skill. |
| `count` | integer | No | Number of suggestions, 1 to 20 (default 10). |
| `language` | string | No | Two-letter language code, for example en or de (default en). |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A required parameter or a value is invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | Indeed could not be reached after several tries, or its answer could not be read (code PARSER_DRIFT). This response is not billable. Retry shortly. |
