# Kroger Product API Documentation

<p><strong>Kroger Product API</strong> returns one grocery product from kroger.com by its UPC. It adds the description, ingredients, allergen statement, the nutrition panel (serving size, calories, fats, carbohydrates, protein and daily values) and nutritional claims to the fields of the search route.</p><p>Send either <code>upc</code> (12 or 13 digits, as returned by search, for example 0001111041660) or <code>url</code> (a kroger.com product page, where the UPC is the last path part). Only the product with exactly this UPC is returned. An unknown UPC answers 404 and is free. Kroger picks the store from the network location of the request, so prices, sale prices and stock can differ between calls. Prices are in US dollars. Fields Kroger does not publish for a product are left out.</p><p>Costs 1 credit per successful request. Not found and failed requests are free.</p>

## Authentication

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |

| 422 | Validation Error | Neither upc nor url was sent, or a value is invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Not Found | No product with this exact UPC was found. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | Kroger could not be reached after several tries. This response is not billable. Retry shortly. |
