# Monster Job Search API Documentation

<p><strong>Monster Job Search API</strong> Search US jobs on Monster or CareerBuilder by keyword, place, radius, date posted, job type and remote. Each job has its id, title, links, dates, company (name, id, logo, slug), location with coordinates, salary range, job types, career level, education, skills, SOC code, the employer apply link and the description as text. A page has up to 18 jobs and the source stops after page 30. Paid jobs repeat across pages, so deep paging adds few new jobs; repeats inside a page are removed. The total is an estimate. The date filter of the source is loose, so every job is checked on its posting date and jobs outside the period are removed (filtered_out counts them). A search with no match answers 200 with an empty list. Cost: 1 credit per successful search.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `q` | string | No | Job title or keyword, up to 200 characters. Example: nurse. Send q, location or remote=true. |
| `location` | string | No | City, state or ZIP, up to 200 characters. Example: Boston, MA. Use the location autocomplete for exact names. Do not combine it with remote. |
| `radius` | integer | No | Search radius around the location in miles. Default 30. |
| `date_posted` | string | No | Only jobs posted in this period. The result is checked on the posting date of every job. |
| `job_type` | string | No | Only jobs of this type. |
| `remote` | boolean | No | Set true to get remote jobs only. Remote jobs have no location, so do not send location with it. |
| `site` | string | No | Which job site to search. The jobs are the same dataset; the links and ranking differ. Default monster. |
| `page` | integer | No | Page number, 1 to 30. A page has up to 18 jobs. The source returns nothing beyond page 30. |

## Errors
