# Owler Acquisitions API Documentation

<p><strong>Owler Acquisitions API</strong> lists the companies a company has acquired, with name, slug, logo, description, date, amount when disclosed, an undisclosed flag and source links.</p><p>Owler returns the full list in one call. Scrappa slices it with <code>limit</code> and <code>offset</code>. <code>total</code> is the full number of acquisitions. <code>offset</code>, <code>limit</code> and <code>returned</code> describe exactly the slice in <code>acquisitions</code>. An offset past the end returns an empty list.</p><p>An unknown slug returns an error and is not billed.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `slug` | string | Yes | Owler company slug from the search results, the last part of the Owler company URL. Example: stripe. |
| `limit` | integer | No | Number of items to return, 1 to 200 (default 25). |
| `offset` | integer | No | Number of items to skip, 0 or more (default 0). |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 404 | Not Found | The company slug does not exist on Owler. This response is not billable. |
| 422 | Validation Error | A required parameter or a value is invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | Owler could not be reached or returned data in an unexpected format. Retry shortly. This response is not billable. |
