# Owler Funding API Documentation

<p><strong>Owler Funding API</strong> returns every funding round Owler lists for a company: round type, date, amount in US dollars and investors with logos. It also returns the total raised and a yearly chart of cumulative funding.</p><p>Owler returns the full list in one call, so there is no paging. The date is Owler's own label, for example <code>Apr 2024</code>. The amount is null when Owler does not show it.</p><p>An unknown slug returns an error and is not billed.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 404 | Not Found | The company slug does not exist on Owler. This response is not billable. |
| 422 | Validation Error | A required parameter or a value is invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | Owler could not be reached or returned data in an unexpected format. Retry shortly. This response is not billable. |
