# Owler Similar Companies API Documentation

<p><strong>Owler Similar Companies API</strong> returns the companies Owler recommends as similar to a company. Each entry has the name, the slug and the Owler URL. Pass a slug to the Company endpoint for the full profile.</p><p>Owler returns the list in one call, so there is no paging. An unknown slug returns an error and is not billed.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 404 | Not Found | The company slug does not exist on Owler. This response is not billable. |
| 422 | Validation Error | A required parameter or a value is invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | Owler could not be reached or returned data in an unexpected format. Retry shortly. This response is not billable. |
