# PitchBook Limited Partner Profile API Documentation

<p><strong>PitchBook Limited Partner Profile API</strong> returns the public PitchBook profile of a limited partner: type, institution type, founded, professionals, commitment count, headquarters, commitments and mandates. Get the <code>id</code> from the PitchBook Sitemap endpoint. A value that PitchBook hides from logged-out visitors is <code>null</code>. <code>null</code> means not public to a logged-out visitor. It does not mean the value does not exist. Each table has <code>total</code> (the count in the page heading) and <code>rows</code> (the rows the page shows, often fewer). <code>fetched_at</code> is the time of the PitchBook page read. <code>cached</code> is <code>true</code> when the profile comes from a copy of up to 24 hours. An unknown id returns 404. A page that cannot be read returns 503 and can be retried. Failed requests are not charged.</p>

| 422 | Invalid Id | The id is missing or has the wrong format. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | PitchBook could not be reached or returned a page that does not match the expected layout. This response is not billable and is retryable. |
