# PropertyPro Nigeria Search API Documentation

<p><strong>PropertyPro Nigeria Search API</strong> lists Nigerian homes, land and commercial property for sale, for rent or for short-let from PropertyPro. Pick a <code>category</code>, narrow by <code>type</code>, <code>location</code>, price and <code>bedrooms</code>, sort and page through results with about 20 listings per page.</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> pass the <code>location</code> address from the autocomplete endpoint, such as <code>lagos/lekki/ikate</code>. Leave it out to search all of Nigeria.</p><p><strong>Filters are honoured.</strong> Sponsored cards ignore filters on PropertyPro, so they are dropped and counted in <code>pagination.sponsored_dropped</code>. Any other card that breaks a price, bedroom or category filter is dropped and counted in <code>pagination.filtered_out</code>.</p><p><strong>Sort and pages:</strong> a sort orders the organic listings. Premium listings stay pinned on top. Pages are one-based. A page past the end returns an empty <code>results</code> list with the page you asked for. <code>total_reported</code> is capped at 10,000 when PropertyPro shows <code>10,000+</code> (<code>total_capped</code> is then true).</p><p><strong>Prices</strong> are in naira. <code>price_period</code> is the period PropertyPro prints (<code>year</code>, <code>month</code>, <code>week</code>, <code>day</code> or <code>sqm</code>) and is null when the listing states none. Coordinates, structured fees and square metres are not published and not returned. Phone numbers are never returned.</p><p>A response takes about 10 to 20 seconds. Place lists are cached.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `category` | string | No | sale (default), rent or short-let. |
| `type` | string | No | Property type from the facets endpoint, such as house, flat-apartment, land, commercial-property or flat-apartment/mini-flat. Land and commercial are types. |
| `location` | string | No | Place address from the autocomplete endpoint, such as lagos/lekki/ikate. Optional; default is all of Nigeria. |
| `min_price` | integer | No | Minimum price in naira. |
| `max_price` | integer | No | Maximum price in naira. Must be at least min_price. |
| `bedrooms` | integer | No | Exact number of bedrooms, 1 to 10. |
| `sort` | string | No | newest, price_asc, price_desc or bedrooms. Premium listings stay pinned on top. |
| `page` | integer | No | One-based page number, default 1. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is missing or outside its allowed values. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | PropertyPro could not be reached, or the page could not be confirmed as the requested one. Retry shortly. This response is not billable. |
