# Rent.com Listing Detail API Documentation

Scrappa's `GET /api/rent-com/listing` returns the full record of one Rent.com rental, by `id` (`lc...` for a community, `lv...` for a single unit) or by the listing `url`.

## What you get

The item fields of the search, plus `description`, `fees` (admin, application, broker, utilities, insurance), `pet_policies`, `amenities` with category, `unique_highlights`, `vibes`, `schools`, `walk_score`, `price_drops`, all `photos`, `floor_plans` with every unit (rent, deposit, available date, area), `nearby` places, Redfin-based `rent_estimates`, `similar` listings, `listing_agent` and `manager`.

## Notes

Fee values come as text and as a number when Rent.com gives one. Empty groups stay empty lists. Fields Rent.com does not publish, such as review text, are not available. Results are cached for a few minutes.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 404 | Not Found | No listing exists with that id, for example a rented-out or removed listing (`not_found`). Non-billable. |
| 422 | Validation Error | A query parameter is missing, unknown or unusable. Unknown parameters are rejected, never ignored. Non-billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | Rent.com could not be reached after retries, or answered with an unexpected result (`upstream_unavailable`). Retryable and never billed. Clients are never rate limited. |
