# Rentalcars Autocomplete API Documentation

<p>Find airports, cities, districts and landmarks for a search text. Each result has the place type, name, IATA code, city, region, country and coordinates. Use the IATA code or the coordinates as pickup_location in the search. Scrappa is not affiliated with Rentalcars.com. This is an unofficial API.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `term` | string | Yes | Search text with 2 to 120 characters. Example: Berlin. |
| `language` | string | No | Language of the place names. Default: en. |
| `cor` | string | No | Country of residence as a 2-letter code. Default: gb. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is missing or invalid. No request is made upstream. Not billed. |
| 503 | Rentalcars Temporarily Unavailable | Rentalcars did not answer in time. Retry after a short pause. Other 503 codes start with rentalcars_ too, for example rentalcars_invalid_response. Not billed. |
