# Steam Game Reviews API Documentation

Retrieve game reviews from the Steam store with filters for language, review type, purchase type, date range and sort, plus cursor-based pagination and the review summary. A valid empty result (no reviews) is a successful, billable response.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `appid` | integer | Yes | Numeric Steam app ID. Example: 730 (Counter-Strike 2). |
| `language` | string | No | Steam language code or all. Defaults to all. |
| `num_per_page` | integer | No | Reviews per page (1-100). Defaults to 10. |
| `purchase_type` | string | No | all, steam or non_steam. Defaults to all. |
| `filter` | string | No | all, recent or updated. Defaults to all. |
| `review_type` | string | No | all, positive or negative. Defaults to all. |
| `day_range` | integer | No | Limit reviews to the last N days (0 = all time). Defaults to 0. |
| `cursor` | string | No | Pagination cursor from a previous response. Defaults to * (first page). |
| `include_histogram` | boolean | No | Include the review histogram. Defaults to false. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
