# Subito.it Categories API Documentation

<p><strong>Subito.it Categories API Documentation</strong> List every Subito.it category with its integer key, name, slug and macro group. Use the key as c in search. Entries with is_group true are macro groups (for example Motori) and carry no macrocategory_id. Category 2 (Auto) is listed but searched through the Subito Motori API.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 503 | Invalid Source Response | Subito answered with a shape that no longer matches the documented contract. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly. |
