# Tripadvisor Place

Retrieve the core details of a Tripadvisor location: name, type (hotel, restaurant, attraction, vacation_rental or destination), coordinates, Tripadvisor URL, image, rating and review count. Pass a locale to also receive the localized name. Unknown location IDs answer 404 and are not billed.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| `locale` | string | No | Locale for the localized name (e.g. en-US, de-DE). Default: en-US |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | A required query parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Location Not Found | The Tripadvisor location does not exist. This response is not billable. |
| 502 | Invalid Source Response | Tripadvisor answered with a shape that no longer matches the documented contract. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly. |
