# Trivago Destination Suggest API Documentation

<p><strong>Trivago Destination Suggest API Documentation</strong> Find Trivago destinations, hotels and landmarks by a search text. Each result has an id, a type (destination, hotel, landmark or place), a name, a location label and a category such as City or Region. Use the id of a destination as destination_id in the search and filters endpoints, and the id of a hotel as hotel_id in the offers, hotel and reviews endpoints. Place suggestions have no Trivago id and cannot start a search. Completions are text suggestions for the search box.</p>

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

## Errors

| 422 | Validation Error | A required query parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Resource Not Found | No resource matched. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Service Unavailable | Trivago could not be reached or answered with an unexpected shape. This response is not billable. |
