# VK Community API Documentation

Retrieve a public VK community: name, screen name, description, member count, privacy state and photo. A valid community is a successful response.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `group_id` | string | Yes | VK group ID or screen name. Example: 22822305. |
| `fields` | string | No | Comma-separated field list. Default: description,members_count,screen_name. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | The group_id parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | Community Not Found | The requested VK community was not found or is private. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | The VK API is temporarily unavailable. This response is not billable. |
