# VK User Profile API Documentation

Retrieve the public profile of a VK user: name, screen name, photo, verification status and privacy state. A valid profile is a successful response.

## Authentication

Send your Scrappa API key in the `X-API-KEY` request header. Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key.

## Parameters

| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |

| `user_id` | string | Yes | VK user ID or screen name. Example: durov. |
| `fields` | string | No | Comma-separated field list. Default: photo_200,screen_name,verified. |

## Errors

| Status | Error | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 422 | Validation Error | The user_id parameter is missing or invalid. This response is not billable. |
| 404 | User Not Found | The requested VK user was not found or is private. This response is not billable. |
| 503 | Upstream Unavailable | The VK API is temporarily unavailable. This response is not billable. |
