# Zameen Property Search API Documentation

Zameen Property Search API Search homes, plots and commercial property for sale or for rent. Every filter is applied by Zameen inside the search, so no row breaks a filter you set. Each listing has the id, title (also in Urdu), URL and slug, price in PKR, bedrooms, bathrooms, the area in square metres, square feet, square yards, marla and kanal, position, the location hierarchy with slugs, the category, dates, the cover photo and the number of photos and videos, verification, furnishing, completion and ownership status, amenities, a short description, contact name and phone numbers as Zameen publishes them, and the agency. Values that do not apply, such as bedrooms of a plot, are null. Use rent_frequency as given: it is null when Zameen does not say. Search reaches the first 10,000 results of a query: page times per_page must be at most 10,000, and total_pages and results_capped say so. Use the slug field with the listing endpoint for the full description and all photos.

Paid endpoints also support accountless x402 payments when called without an API key. ## Parameters | Parameter | Type | Required | Description | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | `purpose` | string | Yes | sale or rent. | | `category` | string | No | Optional. A category slug from the categories endpoint, e.g. Homes, Houses_Property, Flats_Apartments, Plots, Commercial. The same slugs work for sale and rent. | | `location` | string | No | Optional. A location slug from the autocomplete endpoint, e.g. /Lahore_DHA_Defence-9. It matches the area and everything inside it. | | `price_min` | number | No | Optional. Lowest price in PKR (for rent: the price per rent period). | | `price_max` | number | No | Optional. Highest price in PKR. | | `bedrooms` | string | No | Optional. One number or a comma list, e.g. 3 or 3,4. Exact number of bedrooms. | | `bathrooms` | string | No | Optional. One number or a comma list, e.g. 2,3. Exact number of bathrooms. | | `area_min` | number | No | Optional. Smallest area in the unit of area_unit. | | `area_max` | number | No | Optional. Largest area in the unit of area_unit. | | `area_unit` | string | No | Unit of area_min and area_max: sqm, sqft, sqyd, marla or kanal (default sqm). One marla is 225 square feet. One kanal is 20 marla. | | `is_verified` | boolean | No | Optional. true returns only ads that Zameen verified. | | `agency_id` | string | No | Optional. Only ads of one agency. Use the agency id from a search result or the agencies endpoint. | | `amenities` | string | No | Optional. One name or a comma list of amenity names, e.g. Swimming Pool,Lawn or Garden. A result has all of them. Use names as they appear in the amenities of a result. | | `sort` | string | No | date_desc (default, newest first), updated_desc, price_asc or price_desc. | | `page` | integer | No | Page number, from 1 (default 1). This response is not billable. | | 422 | Result Window Exceeded | Page times per_page is above 10,000. Zameen search reaches only the first 10,000 results. Narrow the filters or lower the page. This response is not billable. | | 503 | Temporarily Unavailable | Zameen did not answer or refused the request after several attempts. This response is not billable.
