Property Search
/api/domain-com-au/search
Search buy, rent, sold, new homes and rural listings by suburb, price, and bedrooms. Commercial is refused with a 400.
Search Australian property listings on Domain.com.au across buy, rent, sold, new homes and rural stock, read listing detail with a true numeric price, resolve agent and agency profiles, pull suburb price history, and fetch weekly auction results with clearance rates. Commercial listings are not available: Domain.com.au serves none on its anonymous search API and blocks its commercial web tier, so Scrappa refuses that mode rather than substituting residential stock. Domain.com.au publishes no public API; Scrappa provides structured access to the same data its own app reads.

Structured data for real applications. Here are some ideas.
Track weekly clearance rates, median prices, and every individual sale result by city. Each sale record carries its listing and agency id, so auction outcomes join straight back to listing detail and agency profiles.
Pull the annual median-sold-price series, sale counts, and days on market for any Australian suburb. Pass a bounding box instead of a single slug to resolve every suburb inside it in one call.
Enumerate the agents listing in a suburb, then read each profile for live sales and leasing volume, their agency, and the agency's active suburb coverage.
Poll search results by suburb, bedroom count, and price band to detect new supply early, then hydrate the numeric price and media for the listings worth acting on.
Everything you need in one API.

Domain.com.au publishes no public API. Scrappa exposes the same data its own mobile app reads through eight structured REST endpoints, so you can search, analyse, and monitor Australian property data programmatically instead of scraping pages by hand.
Yes. The property endpoint returns the exact numeric figure in price_exact. The search endpoint returns the formatted display price and a null numeric, because the platform only populates the numeric on a detail lookup. We report that honestly rather than parsing the string.
Facet and aggregation data is genuinely unavailable. No reachable Domain.com.au surface exposes a facet field, and the HTML search page that carried those counts is blocked at the edge. You can filter on every supported dimension; you cannot get counts for the ones you did not select. This will not change - please do not plan around it.
Yes. Pass a bounding box instead of a single slug and one call resolves every suburb inside it, each with its own median sold price series. That keeps a whole metro as a single billable lookup rather than one lookup per suburb.
Ten. Domain.com.au fixes the page size at ten listings and ignores any larger request, so paginate with the page parameter. An injected promotional row is filtered out before counting, so a page of ten listings is always exactly ten entries in the response.
Just a Scrappa API key passed as an X-API-KEY header. No Domain.com.au account, no partner program, no OAuth. Sign up for free, get your key, and start querying immediately.
No. A transport error, an empty proxy pool, a rejected filter, or a malformed upstream response all return a non-billable error. You are only charged when the endpoint actually returns data.
