It returns the providers Google advertises in the Local Services block of a Google search as JSON. Send a service query such as "plumber near Chicago, IL" and get an array of local_ads, each carrying the business name, rating, review count, service type, years in business, location, opening hours, phone number and Google place id. Field names follow the SerpApi google_local_services convention so existing integrations port with a rename of the endpoint.
No. There is no public Google Local Services API; Scrappa is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. You do not need a Google account or a Google Cloud project — a Scrappa API key is the only credential.
Coverage is the Google Search Local Services block, so the core fields match: title, rating, review count, service type, years in business, location, hours, phone and place id. The block markup carries no Google Guaranteed badge, no service area and no thumbnail, so those fields are not returned. There is no pagination and no data_cid parameter — one request returns the providers Google shows for the query.
Call GET /api/google-local-services/search with q, hl and gl, for example ?q=plumber near Chicago, IL&hl=en&gl=us. Only those three parameters are accepted; anything else is rejected with a validation error. Coverage is the US-market block, so use US service queries for the fullest results.
A full page with no provider for the query returns 200 with an empty local_ads array and is billed, because the answer is a valid empty result. A block page, a captcha, a consent page, a page without the Local Services block, or an exhausted session never returns data and is never billed.
Yes. Every Scrappa account includes 500 free credits per month with no credit card required. Requests are $0.20 per 1,000 after that, and a request that returns an error consumes no credits.
