Scrappa's Waze API returns structured JSON from Waze, the community navigation service. Search places and addresses worldwide with Waze place suggestions, and plan routes between two points with up to four alternatives, travel time with live traffic, free flow time, delay, distance, toll and ferry flags, and optional route line and turn steps. Alerts, traffic jams and reverse lookup of a coordinate are not part of this API.

Waze API for place search and route planning

The Waze API is built for travel time, delivery planning and address search. Search a place or an address and get its name, address, coordinates and id, then pass two points to the route endpoint to get up to four alternatives with distance, travel time with live traffic, delay against free flow, toll and ferry flags.

Search places and addresses worldwide with up to 10 suggestions per call.

Bias the search to a point with lat and lon, or pick the Waze region.

Plan routes with 1 to 4 alternatives for car, motorcycle or taxi.

Read distance, travel time, free flow time and delay of every route.

Avoid toll roads or ferries, and read toll meters and ferry meters per route.

Add the route line and the turn steps with the include parameter.

No. Scrappa is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Waze or Google. The Waze API returns structured JSON from public Waze services through a Scrappa API key.

Every Scrappa account includes 500 free credits each month. A place search costs one credit and a route request costs two credits. A search with no result and every failed request are never charged.

No. Alerts, jams and closures in a map area are not available. Route planning shows the delay of each route against free flow, but that is a route value, not a traffic layer.

No. The place search takes text only. A coordinate as text returns an empty list.

No. Routes use the traffic of the moment of the request. A departure time is not available.
