| Feature | Scrappa | MediaWiki Action API (direct) |
|---|---|---|
| Plain article text without markup | HTML you must clean | |
| Infobox as label and value pairs | Parse the HTML yourself | |
| Redirects, disambiguation and 404 mapped | Errors inside HTTP 200 bodies | |
| Price per 1k requests | From $0.20 | Free, but you build the wrapper |
en, de, fr, es, it, pt, nl, ja, ru, pl, sv and zh. Other language codes answer 422.
Redirects are followed and the original title is returned in redirected_from.
Each successful request uses one Scrappa credit. Failed requests are never charged and the API never answers with HTTP 429. An upstream outage returns a retryable 503.
