Frequently asked questions

No. Scrappa is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by eBay. The eBay API returns structured JSON from current public eBay.com listings through a Scrappa API key.

Search responses carry a categories facet with ids and names, autocomplete returns category suggestions with ids, and item detail returns the six-level breadcrumb chain with ids. Pass a category id plus its browse node id to the category endpoint.

Page is 1-based and per_page is 60, 120 or 240. has_more is computed from the real upstream signal: a link to the next page plus a non-empty result island. A page beyond the last answers a valid empty and stays billable.

The upstream count is approximate and fluctuates per page. Treat it as an estimate, not an exact inventory count.

Every Scrappa account includes 500 free credits each month. After that, each request costs one credit, which works out to $0.20 per 1,000 requests depending on the credit pack or plan. Requests that return no usable data are never charged.
