Bing Reverse Image API documentation for developers who need to find where an image appears. Scrappa's GET /api/bing/reverse-image endpoint runs a Bing search by image for a public image URL and returns a best guess and about 10 matching web pages.
How to call the endpoint
Send a GET request with a required image_url and your API key in the x-api-key header. The URL must start with http:// or https:// and point to a public host. Bing downloads the image itself. Private, local and internal addresses are refused with a 422 error.
Response fields
best_guess is the text Bing names for the image. data lists web results with position, title, url, source (site name), display_url, snippet and favicon. The request has no paging.
Limits
Bing must be able to fetch and read the image. Some hosts and formats, for example SVG files and some wiki thumbnails, are refused by Bing. The endpoint then returns 422 and the request is not billed. Visual match tiles are not included.
